My Dear TV Claus,
A few quirky requests for my winter wishes this year. Hope you and your elves can make one of these happen!
- Let’s bring very Special Agent Tony DiNozzo back on NCIS for a couple of guest appearances. Maybe leading his own little special team.
- I love cartoons and in general I accept the fact that the characters seem to never age. However, I do wish that the child/teenager characters can age at least one year if they’ve been on tv for decades. So, I find myself wishing that either Bart and Lisa Simpson can age one year (and then perhaps stop aging for another twenty) and/or have the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles age one year and then stop for a long while. Just one year!! Give them some growth! I love The Simpsons and I love the Turtles. Let’s have them one year older. Have I wished for this before? Maybe I have.
- I’m a big fan of Star Trek and I am a little bit worried about CBS’ plan for the new tv show Star Trek Discovery to be almost entirely on CBS online (paid service) but not on the actual CBS on-air channel. Let’s make it perhaps just a delayed schedule where CBS on-air can get the episodes a month or two after it debuts online. Characters-wise, I’d like to see an Andorian be one of the main characters. So a human-Vulcan-Andorian main trio would be interesting. Maybe add an Orion into the mix as a frequent guest.
In general, I’m pretty happy with the state of tv offerings. Let’s keep it going.
